Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary – Individual Land Stewardship Programme

Become a steward of one of Africa’s most important conservation landscapes. Through Care for Wild’s Individual Land Stewardship Programme, you directly support the protection and restoration of the Barberton Nature Reserve – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Care for Wild
Rhino Sanctuary.

Your contribution funds essential conservation work including antipoaching, ecological monitoring, habitat restoration, alien plant control, fire management, community engagement and longterm biodiversity protection.

How it works

  • Stewardship is based on a minimum of 5 hectares.
  • Each hectare costs £223 per year.
  • Participation is a 5year commitment, with a break option after 12 months.
  • Your contribution is pooled with others to fund the annual operating cost of protectingthe Reserve.

What you receive:
